Rebecca Wright - Associate

Rebecca undertakes general High Court commercial and financial litigation, as well as contentious insurance and reinsurance work. She has a particular specialism in shipping and marine insurance disputes, having advised on issues relating to a number of charterparties and contracts of affeightment, ranging from simple demurrage claims to complex and high value P&I coverage disputes.

As regards insurance and reinsurance work, Rebecca recently successfully acted for an insurer client in a substantial case in the Commercial Court in which the client had brought proceedings against London Market reinsurers seeking recovery of sums paid out under the underlying aviation policy. In addition, Rebecca has dealt with a variety of insolvency matters, including the distribution of funds held by an insurance brokerage to its creditors to enable the liquidation of the company.
